Just Ignore Our Constitution, Mr. President

(Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)The founding fathers wrote the constitution with divided powers for a reason.  They wrote it with the powers of government divided between our president, the congress, and the Supreme Court.  The reason behind divided powers was to limit the action of government unless there was a consensus in society about that action.  The founders were worried about dictatorship and the limits that government have on freedom.

    “We The People, not the executive or legislative, have the final say” We frequently hear that Government isn’t doing it’s job and that the Press is biased. But the truth is that it’s us, the people, who are neglecting the responsibilities connected with self-government. Great article.
