BLACK FAMILIES MATTER: RECLAIMING A COMMUNITY IN CRISIS
The Crisis
Across America, and especially within the Black community, the family is in crisis. Rising rates of fatherlessness, broken marriages, and generational poverty are fueling cycles of crime, school failure, and despair. For decades, the prevailing narrative has blamed slavery, Jim Crow, and systemic racism for these realities. But history tells a different story. Marriage rates among Black Americans were higher during and immediately after slavery than they are today. The real turning point came after the Moynihan Report (1965) and the implementation of the Great Society programs, which undermined the role of family and faith.
The Message
Black Families Matter: Reclaiming A Community in Crisis, challenges the cultural and political myths that keep the Black family trapped in dysfunction. This groundbreaking film will expose the policies and ideologies that have weakened the family and showcase the voices of pastors, scholars, and everyday citizens calling for renewal.
At its heart, the film is not about grievance—it’s about restoration. It will demonstrate that the strength of the Black community has always been rooted in faith, family, and perseverance.
The Vision
This is not just a documentary. It’s a movement—a conservative call for national action. Guided by the R.I.S.E. Principles:
Responsible Government – Policies that empower, not entrap.
Individual Liberty & Fidelity – Faith and freedom as the foundation of thriving families.
Strong Family Values – The indispensable source of cultural strength.
Economic Empowerment – Breaking cycles of dependency with opportunity and enterprise.
