Trees and Dead White People
By Patrick Hall
Ok, everyone! I am about to employ an extremely familiar, if not nominal-metaphysical quote supposedly dealing with “the dissimilarity between sensation-reality” or “the possibility of unperceived existence”. I apologize if my point-of-view borders on morose or dour at times. Here we go.
"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”
or
“If a black racist nutjob gets into his car and with malice and rage runs over and kills six white people, seriously injuring and maiming dozens of others, does the corporate liberal media in concert with NPR make a sound?”
It’s been over a month since Darrell Brooks, a career criminal and BLM-inspired black racist lunatic, decided to kill many people to further the cause of social justice for oppressed black people. Also, Mr. Brooks’ social media footprint was replete with other familiar racists tomes about the indiscriminate killing and targeting of blacks by the police. Like many of the wizards-of-smart, influenced by BLM, he was also upset about the not guilty verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse case. Here one white guy was defending himself from being killed by three other white guys, which resulted in the deaths of two of Mr. Rittenhouse’s attackers. However, in the upside-down world of Mr. Brooks, the corporate media, NPR, and BLM, Mr. Rittenhouse’s actions were ham-handedly drafted into the all-encompassing Biden-Harris-Obama narrative of systemic racism and the murder of black people. Not since the Michael Brown, “hands-up-don’t-shoot-lie” in Ferguson, MO in 2014, did our nation witness such a graceless distortion of the news.
Conversely, does one ever hear anything about the continued suffering, anger, and sadness that Mr. Brooks brought to the Waukesha, Wisconsin community on November 21, 2021? The heartbroken answer to this is, not really.
If Darrell Brooks had somehow been allied with a white supremacist group or had killed black people with “The Car;” CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS,
Fox and most major news outlets, including NPR, would still feature the Waukesha murders in their daily news. This would undoubtedly be a top news story across the pond. The BBC, BBC Europe, Reuters, the AP, the German news magazine Der Spiegel and other European outlets would be apoplectic in their coverage. Jeez Louise, if only Mr. Brooks would’ve been the dreaded American “white supremacist”, that President Biden telegraphed to the world during his Inaugural.
You don't hear very much about Waukesha. And yet, the Jesse Smollett fake racial attack and the Kim Potter verdict, a white police officer, who tragically killed Daunte Wright, a black man, will be ubiquitous. During her arrest of Mr. Wright, a felon, Officer Potter, confused her gun with a taser. The shooting sparked protests in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, and fueled ongoing demonstrations against police brutality in the greater Minneapolis-St Paul area. Predictably, the trial of Officer Potter was socially engineered by the media and BLM to fuel their familiar racial choreography. The dance is typical. It is the divisive racial propaganda that BLM, the Democratic Party, “guilt-ridden- suburban-white-privilege-flagellating-busybodies," and "America-is-bad" catechumenates thrive on.
What the hell! The people murdered in Waukesha were just a bunch of white people, spouted a black social justice warrior dawning a Black Lives Matter logo on his social media page.
As a sidebar, this author has never bought into the cultural-political deception (i.e., lie) of the Black Lives Matter Global Foundation. Since its inception, after the deaths of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, BLM has always been an apocryphally racist organization, marinated in a heavy dose of neo-Marxism. BLM has been highly proficient at securing over 1.63 billion dollars from corporate donors such as Nabisco, Microsoft, Xbox, Fitbit, Airbnb, Intel, Gatorade, Amazon, to name a few. The founders of BLM, like Patrisse Cullors, Opal Tometi, and Alicia Garza, have enriched themselves. At the same time, BLM is doing nothing to seriously address the thousands of black-on-black homicides occurring under their watch. Of course, much of BLM’s socio-political cache is fueled by the scant, if not comparatively rare, incidents of police brutality of blacks.
But in retrospect, what does the death of a few white people matter to the media, academic elites, the Democratic Political class, and “the real black people” of BLM. There is much more to be gained by exploiting the storyline that America is an awful place, replete with white supremacy or “dog-whistling” MAGA followers, like myself.
Oh, wait a minute! Am I black? I'm of mixed-descent (but we won’t get into that stupid Gordian-Knot relic, courtesy of Antebellum period at this juncture).
