It only took 19….

I believe I was getting my morning coffee and bagel in the university student union building when I noticed a gathering of people glued to the several television monitors watching the horrors of two passenger jets being rammed into the World Trade Center in New York City. Many of us couldn’t believe what was happening before our very eyes. So horrible were the events of September 11th, that many in the crowd of students and faculty wondered whether there were any people, children, women, elderly, etc., aboard the jet planes that crashed and melted into the structures that were the Twin Towers.  As Americans, we’ve been protected, all of our lives, from the true barbarity and ideological monsters that exist in the world.

At first, none of us could grasp this reality.  That there were individuals, people driven by a distorted exegesis of the Koran, who could easily kill themselves and other innocent human beings in the name of their God.  In retrospect, perhaps the Koran's exegesis and Islam's hermeneutics (the principles governing) were not such a far stretch. I still have questions today.  On the same day, on 9/11, two other passenger jets headed to their appointed destinations. One which eventually crashed into the Pentagon, killing hundreds, and the fourth headed for… “?”

 That passenger jet, Flight 93, was taken down over Shanksville, Pennsylvania, by several brave “Americans” who knew what the score was after hearing about the murderous intentions of the Radical Islamic hosts.  The terrorists had sliced the throats of the flight crew and were headed to increase the total number of dead Americans. If it weren’t for the bravery of these few American Patriots aboard Flight 93, which became memorialized in the final words of Todd Beamer, “LET’S ROLL”.  Sept 11th could have been much worse.  But almost a quarter of a century later, have we learned the stark lessons on Sept 11th?  

It is more than a possible nightmare coming to the citizenry of the United States, thanks to President Biden’s and the Democratic Party's insane open borders policy, which allowed millions of unvetted illegal immigrants, NOT MIGRANTs, into the country.  We still don’t know who the hell many of these individuals are, nor their intentions.  I’m sure that the majority of the estimated 10-20 million (illegal immigrants) who have entered the United States are just seeking a better life for themselves and their children. However, they are still ILLEGAL. My spouse, now a United States Citizen from Germany, had to go through the K1 Visa vetting process to obtain her green card, which paved the way to becoming a United States citizen. By the way, it wasn’t cheap.

But as the late Conservative Talk Show host, Rush Limbaugh,  once opined, even if less than .02% of illegals are suicidal-murderous Islamic-dedicated-believers, that still leaves “thousands” of designated “non-uniform enemy combatants” preparing to make 9/11 look like an Easter Egg Hunt.  Conservative Think-Tanks, media outlets, and many in our Pentagon have warned that it is a matter of when, not if.

It only took 19 terrorists to kill over 3000 people. What in the world are the political class, who supposedly represent us, thinking? Letting thousands of potential unvetted, murderous, criminal, suicidal nutjobs into the country.  As current ICE Director Tom Homan has stated repeatedly, many of these illegals and thousands of got-aways are “single military age men”. God knows what these individuals are planning.  What makes matters more chilling is that the last administration’s suicidal open border policies along with the “virtue signaling and Progressive Liberal guilt-ridden” nonsense of sanctuary cities, also invited other non-uniform enemy combatants from places like China, Russia, North Korea, Central and South America, to plan as well as execute their catastrophic plans to kill and take down our way of life. As the recent arrest of two University students from China pointed out, the spectrum of bio and agricultural terrorism has also been in play.

Do politicians, mostly Democrats, who turn a blind eye to illegal immigration, “hope to inject” new or future Democratic voters into their ranks to guarantee future elections?  Does this explain why the Democratic Political class is constantly throwing up roadblocks related to voter ID proposals and other safeguards to the integrity of our voting system?  The polity of the Democratic Party is giving these new immigrants public assistance and a plethora of “free stuff” that was unheard of during your great-great-grandfather's era.  The Democrats are presently building another generation of “government-dependent” individuals. Similar to what was accomplished during the Great Society Programs of the 1960s, I quote LBJ to get those black folks voting Democratic for generations. By the way, LBJ didn’t use the term black folks, but something more colorful, so to speak.

To paraphrase the late political columnist Paul Krauthammer, he understood that the Democratic Party is driven by power, not compassion or “social justice.” It is their total raison d’être.    

Many Conservative Americans know what Democrats want. They want the illegals to stay in America and spread to as many states as possible, shifting enough “red” states to “blue” so that they, the Democrats, can have a permanent majority on both the national and state levels. It will be the catalyst to inaugurate their Leftist, globalist plan for the United States. Once again, this is all about power, nothing more.

At any rate, I wouldn’t put it past them. The Democrat political class is generally amoral, political opportunists, pathological liars, if not godless.  Concurrently, most people within the Democratic Party are not stupid, naïve, nor do they hate the country; they are simply not paying attention.  Oh, wait a minute! The possible exceptions may be Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez  (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT), and Barack Obama. They don’t seem to like the country very much at all!  Obama was extraordinarily adept at saying and doing nothing quite well regarding the latter.  As mentioned in previous columns, the most significant difference between former President Obama and Donald Trump is that Trump cherishes America. In contrast, Obama consistently struggles to say anything positive about America. Obama is a member of the 1980s cohort of neo-leftists and closet socialist students who now control the body politic of the Democratic Party and tragically many, if not most, of our nation's Universities and Colleges.

Last week, on an evening news broadcast, Dan Bongino, the FBI’s new Deputy Secretary, opined what keeps him up every night. It is the thought, if not reality, that if 19 dedicated Radical Islamists caused the death and destruction of over 3000 Americans by hijacking 4 four passenger jets. What tragic and unthinkable horrors are being planned by the “thousands of terrorists, illegal aliens, or “enemy combatants” given free entrance into the country after 4 years of open borders facilitated by the Biden Administration and the sanctuary city loons?   Bongino and others like Christine Noam and Tom Homan, who are charged with trying to preempt the coming madness, have their work cut out.  Whether the subsequent major terrorist attacks come from an unfettered massive drone attack, the poisoning of our water and food supply, or just several thousand suicidal Radical Islamic individuals just going out one day and conducting a coordinated mass shooting attack. We could have hundreds of thousands of Americans. Remember Omar Mateen, the radical Islamic nutjob. He was able to kill 49 people in an Orlando, Florida nightclub in June of 2016.  And that was just one terrorist.

 While many within our political class (mostly Liberal Progressive Democrats) worry about Transgender rights, especially as it pertains to giving creepy dudes access to women’s locker rooms. They’re also bullish on a woman’s right to choose, aka abortion, banning plastic straws, the proper use of pronouns, and climate change. Monsters are roaming the nations, planning to kill us.  Once more, it only took 19, the last time.
